Areas  of  Naples

The different areas of Naples vary wildly and visiting them all  provides a more-rounded overview of what the city has to offer. 

Most visits to Naples will include some time in the centro storico; the historic centre which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fascinating web of streets is noisy, full of life and home to some of the most remarkable treasures with its churches and museums. 

Some of the more peaceful areas of Naples can be found around its coastline with places like the Borgo Marinari next to Castel dell'Ovo, and the upscale areas of Chiaia and Vomero. Slightly further from the city are the picturesque Posiliipo and Mergellina.
