Pizza della Vittoria is situated between the two main marinas in Sorrento, Marina Grande and Marina Piccola. In the middle of the square there's a lovely garden where you can find some much-needed respite from the sun with plenty of places to sit in the shade under the trees.
Many people stop in this square on their way from the town centre to Marina Grande and passing through you get a fabulous view out to sea, looking down on to Sorrento's beach clubs and further out to the Gulf of Naples. |

This viewing area lies between two of Sorrento's most famous hotels, the Hotel Tramontano and the Hotel Bellevue Syrene. On one of the roads leading off from the square is the house where Henrik Ibsen wrote his play "Ghosts" in 1881. The house is the one at the corner of the square and Via Vittorio Veneto and has a commemorative plaque on its wall.

Directions from Piazza Tasso: With Bar Fauno behind you walk to the left corner of the square, past Bar Ercolano and turn right down the hill towards Piazza Sant'Antonino. Follow the road as it bends to the left and then right before reaching Villa Comunale. Then continue along the same road to reach Piazza della Vittoria.

Directions from Piazza Tasso: With Bar Fauno behind you walk to the left corner of the square, past Bar Ercolano and turn right down the hill towards Piazza Sant'Antonino. Follow the road as it bends to the left and then right before reaching Villa Comunale. Then continue along the same road to reach Piazza della Vittoria.
