Estimated cruising times
Ischia to Capri - 1 hour without stopping
Full circuit of Capri - around 1 hour without stopping
Capri to Ischia - 1 hour without stopping
Total cruising time (without stopping): around three hours
Remaining leisure time: around five hours
With an eight hour tour, you have around five hours available for stops at the various places. You could do something like this for example:
Circuit of Capri - 1 hour 30 minutes (including stops at main sights apart from Blue Grotto)
Capri Blue Grotto - 1 hour (including potential waiting time)
Capri on land - two and a half hours
Where above we've given estimated times 'without stopping', it's just to give you an idea of how long things would take if we didn't stop. For tours around Capri we generally travel at a slow cruising pace to ensure you see the highlights such as the various grottoes (other than the Blue Grotto), Punta Carena and the Faraglioni rocks for example.
The above times are estimates only and subject to tidal patterns and sea conditions on any given day. The most difficult time to estimate is that of the wait to visit the Blue Grotto which can be anything from 10 minutes to more than two hours, depending on the time of year and how busy that particular day is.
We don't fix the above times before the tour as different people like to spend different amount of time in some places instead of others. As it's a private tour, the skipper will be in constant dialogue with you, keeping you abreast of any time constraints on the day to help ensure you don't miss something you're planning to see.
