Naples  Metro

The range of historic sights in the city of Naples is usually what catches the eye and draws in visitors. It's very much a city where you have to scratch under the surface to find the gems and the Naples Metro is a surprisingly modern but fabulous jewel. 

You can buy tickets in bars, tobacconists, newsagents or in the machines that are found in every station. The same ticket that you need for the Metro is also valid for other types of public transport, such as buses, trams and funiculars. It's also possible to buy "season-tickets" for longer periods with a sliding-scale of prices.

The tickets and fares for the Metro are also valid for bus, filobus e tram from any of the companies that run in Naples and the Funicolare di Chiaia (ANM), Funicolare Centrale (ANM), Funicolare Mergellina (ANM), Funicolare Montesanto (ANM), Cumana (EAV), Circumflegrea (EAV) and Circumvesuviana (EAV)

Single journey ticket: €1

Ticket valid for 90 minutes: €1.50

All day ticket (valid until midnight of the day that you stamp it for the first time (autobus, filobus, tram, metropolitane and funicolari): €3.50

Weekly ticket (valid until midnight of the first Sunday after the first use): €12

Monthly ticket (valid until the last day of the month in was used for the first time): €35
