Punta Carena Lighthouse
Latest update: 1 February 2024
The Punta Carena Lighthouse in Anacapri marks the south-western tip of the island of Capri. The 28 metre high structure is said to house one of the brightest lights in Italy, second only to the famous "Lanterna" lighthouse in Genoa.
This is a popular area on the island as it has a beach area where during the summer you'll find people sunbathing on the rocks, swimming in the clear blue sea or relaxing at one of the beach establishments such as Lido del Faro. The area also marks the end (or beginning) of the Path of the Forts (sentiero dei fortini) walk which stretches along the coast to the Blue Grotto. |
