The Parco Archeologico di Cuma is an ancient archaeological site located near the Bay of Naples, near the modern town of Pozzuoli. It was once the site of Cuma, one of the first Greek colonies in Italy, founded around the 8th century BC.
The park is home to a variety of well-preserved ruins, including the remains of the city’s ancient walls, temples, and the famous Cave of the Sibyl, a mystical site believed to have been the prophetic dwelling of the Sibyl, a priestess of Apollo.
Other notable features include the Roman amphitheater, ancient baths, and the Temple of Jupiter. The site offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including the islands of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Cuma’s blend of Greek and Roman heritage makes it a significant historical destination.
