Tour description
Our Sorrento to Ischia and Procida private boat tour offers an unforgettable experience, combining the natural beauty and charm of two of the most captivating islands in the Bay of Naples. Aboard a traditional southern Italian gozzo boat, you’ll be accompanied by an English-speaking skipper who will ensure a personalized and memorable 8-hour journey. This private tour is exclusively for you, your friends, family, or partner, giving you a tailored experience to suit your preferences.
Throughout the day, we provide complimentary drinks like Prosecco, Limoncello, water, and soft drinks, as well as snacks like potato chips to keep you refreshed. We also offer optional swimming stops, allowing you to take a dip in the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, although you can relax and enjoy the scenery from the boat if you prefer. Our skipper will recommend excellent restaurants accessible from the water for lunch, or if you have a specific spot in mind, we can work that into the itinerary.

After free transfers between your accommodation in Sorrento and the marina, your tour begins with a smooth cruise across the Bay of Naples. As you leave the shores of Sorrento, you’ll be treated to views of the lush coastline, rugged cliffs, and charming seaside villages that line the Sorrentine Peninsula. The beauty of this region is unparalleled, with panoramic vistas of the sparkling waters and, in the distance, the towering Mount Vesuvius.
Your first stop is Ischia, a stunning island known for its volcanic landscape, lush gardens, and therapeutic thermal springs. As you circle the island, you’ll pass dramatic cliffs, tranquil coves, and lush hillsides dotted with Mediterranean vegetation. A highlight of the boat ride is the view of the Aragonese Castle, a historic fortress perched on a small island just off the coast of Ischia. The castle is a must-see, offering a glimpse into the island’s rich history and a stunning backdrop for photos. You’ll also pass the island’s famous beaches, including the golden stretch of Maronti Beach, and have the opportunity to stop for a swim in secluded coves.
Once you dock at Ischia, you’ll have free time to explore the island’s charming streets on foot. Wander through Ischia Porto, where you can enjoy the lively atmosphere and visit the quaint shops and cafes. Don’t miss the historic Ischia Ponte, with its narrow alleys and traditional stone houses. You can also take a leisurely walk to the lush Giardini La Mortella, a beautiful botanical garden with panoramic views of the island.

Next, we’ll head to Procida, a smaller but equally enchanting island. Procida is known for its colorful buildings and picturesque harbor, which you’ll see from the boat as we approach the island. You’ll complete a full circuit of the island, passing by its lovely beaches, cliffs, and hidden coves. The sight of Marina di Corricella, with its pastel-colored houses and quaint fishing boats, is one of the island’s most iconic views. This charming fishing village is one of the most photographed spots in Procida, offering a true sense of traditional island life.
On foot, you can explore the narrow streets of Procida’s old town, where you’ll find boutique shops, art galleries, and charming cafes. The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, perched high on a hill, offers stunning views of the island and its coastline. The atmosphere of Procida is laid-back and authentic, with many opportunities to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this lesser-known gem of the Mediterranean.
For larger groups, we can arrange two boats to travel together, ensuring everyone enjoys the tour comfortably. This private boat tour combines spectacular views, natural beauty, and the opportunity to explore two amazing islands at your own pace. Whether you're soaking in the views from the water or wandering through the quaint streets of Ischia and Procida, this day on the water will leave you with unforgettable memories.
