Via Krupp

Located on the south-eastern side of Capri just below Augustus Gardens, Via Krupp is an elegant pathway that at one stage led down to Marina Piccola.
In June 2023 Via Krupp was reopened after a nine year period during which it was closed. The reason for the closure was the danger caused by falling rocks which has now been removed after extensive works to solve the problem. The path was created by Friedrich Alfred Krupp as part of his project to improve hotel facilities. The project was completed in 1902 but shortly afterwards Krupp was banished from Italy after becoming embroiled in a sexual scandal. |
