Museo Bottega della Tarsia Lignea
Latest update: 2 February 2024
The Museo Bottega della Tarsia Lignea is a museum that celebrates an art-form particularly synonymous with Sorrento. All around the town you'll find shops selling items of inlaid wood, beautifully polished and with a variety of designs. This technique is also known as Marquetry and was particularly popular during the 19th century, which represents the period of most of the exhibits within this fascinating museum.

The museum is located just a short walk from the town centre and housed within a beautiful 18th century palazzo with its Pompeian Red façade and decorative shuttered windows.
