The most important church in Sorrento in purely religious terms is Sorrento Cathedral which was originally built in the 11th century but redesigned around the 15th century in the Romanesque style. 

More popular than the Cathedral however is the Church and Cloisters of San Francesco which is used for wedding ceremonies.
