The busy intersection of Piazza Trieste e Trento is surrounded by some of the major sights in Naples city centre. In one direction it leads on to Via Toledo, the major shopping thoroughfare while just a few steps in another direction bring you to Piazza del Plebiscito. 

At the centre of the square is the Fontana del Carciofo with the Teatro San Carlo and Royal Palace of Naples around its edges.
