The most famous streets of Sorrento come in all shapes and sizes and each have their own purpose. Via San Cesareo for example is the main street among a network of pedestrianised alleyways where you'll find narrow walkways and dozens of shops selling souvenirs, clothing and limoncello.
Then there's the grand Corso Italia where you'll find the larger shops, a number of bars and dozens of restaurants along Sorrento's largest thoroughfare, crossed half way along by the main square in the town: Piazza Tasso. Via Luigi de Maio is different again: a steep road that leads down to Marina Piccola with a hairpin turn or two to negotiate along the way. |
