The three main squares of Sorrento act as great reference points when you're trying to familiarise yourself with the town's layout.
It's almost certain that at some point in your trip to Sorrento you'll pass through the bustling Piazza Tasso which heads off in a number of different directions. The Piazza is blessed with some great restaurants and bars where you can watch the world go by. Piazza della Vittoria is a much more peaceful affair with a well-manicured garden at its centre and some stunning views across the Gulf of Naples to be had from a balcony area. |
Situated between the two squares above is Piazza Sant'Antonino which takes its name from the 11th century Basilica with an unusual facade. There's another small garden at the centre of the Piazza from which you can enter Sorrento's narrow shopping streets.
