The Basilica Madre del Buon Consiglio is a relatively modern church, built in 1961, and situated to the north of Naples city centre in the Capodimonte area.

Nearby attractions include the Royal Palace of Capodimonte and the Catacombs of San Gennaro, the entrance of which is just to the left of the Basilica.
