Spaccanapoli

Although it's officially titled Via Benedetto Croce, this street is affectionately known as Spaccanapoli. When viewed from above, it's easier to understand the epithet which translates into English as "split Naples", as a thick dark line dissects the centro storico. 

The one time Decumanus Inferiore is one of the most vibrant streets in what is certainly Italy's most vivacious city.
