Capri Bus Timetables and Prices

There are six main bus routes on Capri and using the bus system will get you either exactly where you need to go or close enough to walk to all of the most important and interesting things to see on the island.
Buses are by far the cheapest way to get around the island and although the buses themselves are quite small, they run frequently throughout the day. |

A single ticket costs €1.80 and can be purchased from the ticket office in Marina Grande while there are further ticket offices in Piazza della Pace in Anacapri and close to the Piazzetta in Capri Town.
Something else to consider is a daily ticket which costs €8.60 and allows you to use an unlimited number of bus rides or two rides on the Funicular railway between Marina Grande and Capri Town.
The most popular route is that between Capri Town and Anacapri, a short (around 15 minutes) but exhilarating journey across steep cliffs which causes a few hair-raising moments if you happen to be staring out of the window at the wrong time!
Other routes include the one between Capri Town and Marina Piccola (about 20 minutes), Marina Grande to Capri Town or the Marina Grande to Anacapri route which takes around 25 minutes and is ideal for anybody who wishes to prioritise sights such as Villa San Michele/Axel Munthe Museum or Mount Solaro.
All of the routes listed above are provided by a company called ATC while a second company, Staiano operates further routes from Anacapri. With Staiano you can take a bus from Piazza della Pace in Anacapri down to the Punta Carena Lighthouse (Faro) or alternatively down to the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra).
