Capri Funicular Railway Times and Prices

Perhaps the easiest way to get yourself moving around Capri is to take the Funicular Railway from Marina Grande up to Capri Town.
The journey takes just under 5 minutes and costs €1.80, easily making it the fastest and cheapest route between the two locations. The tickets can be bought from the ticket office in Marina Grande and the same tickets can also be used on the buses. |

With most visitors arriving by ferry or hydrofoil, Marina Grande can get very congested, particularly in the mornings with numerous boats arriving at the same time or during the early evenings when many boats make their way back to the mainland or to Ischia.
This means you're likely to have to queue as the Funicular runs every 15 minutes and has a maximum capacity of 75 people per trip. During the peak times of summer the Funicular runs non-stop but you will still most likely have to queue as there will be more people around.
