The Basilica di San Paolo Maggiore is one of the biggest and most important churches in Naples' centro storico, the historic centre.

The beautiful Baroque edifice was constructed on the site of a first century temple and has undergone several transformations after suffering damage from a variety of sources including an earthquake and Allied bombing raids during World War Two.
