Parks  of  Campania

The list of parks of Campania includes two of Italy's 25 national parks. Covering a vast area of 1,810 km², the largest of those is the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park in Campania's southernmost province of Salerno. 

​Closer to the regional capital of Naples and much better known for its volcanic qualities than as a national park, Mount Vesuvius was established as such in 1995. Excursions around the park are a popular pastime and the whole area covers around 7 hectares. 

The Matese Regional Park is larger with a total size of 330 km².
