Parks of Campania
Latest update: 29 January 2024
The list of parks of Campania includes two of Italy's 25 national parks. Covering a vast area of 1,810 km², the largest of those is the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park in Campania's southernmost province of Salerno.
Closer to the regional capital of Naples and much better known for its volcanic qualities than as a national park, Mount Vesuvius was established as such in 1995. Excursions around the park are a popular pastime and the whole area covers around 7 hectares. The Matese Regional Park is larger with a total size of 330 km². |
