The hill towns of Campania for the most part occupy the region's vast hinterland which remains firmly off the beaten track for the majority of its visitors.
With world-famous islands and coastal areas within its environs its understandable that Campania's interior goes relatively unnoticed, but for those who want to get a real taste of the region's traditional culture, these are the places where you're most likely to find it. One of the prettiest towns, Raito is just a short distance inland of the Amalfi Coast while Valogno's murals are a wonderful surprise. |
