Circumvesuviana Train Timetables

The Circumvesuviana train line runs from Naples city centre to its terminus at Sorrento. The train originates from Naples Porta Nolana station but most passengers get on and off at Napoli Piazza Garibaldi which is just a short walk away and linked by an undercover walkway to the city's main train station, Napoli Stazione Centrale.
There are 35 stops along the line although not every train stops at every stop. |

Journey time from Napoli Garibaldi to Sorrento is an hour and 6 minutes with some interesting stops along the way such as Pompeii and Herculaneum. During the summer the train is very busy and it's not always easy to get a seat which is why some people favour starting their journey from Napoli Porta Nolana.
Trains from Naples to Sorrento run from 5:40 in the morning up to 22:11 with a frequency of around every half an hour. From Sorrento to Naples the first train leaves at 05:30 with the last one of the day departing at 22:02.
The price for a single ticket from Naples to Sorrento is around €4 with tickets available to buy from the kiosk inside the Circumevesuviana station or from newsagents.
Before you make your way down to the platform, make sure you're heading for the correct one. There are various Circumvesuviana lines going in different directions and not all of them go to Sorrento.
