The parks and gardens of Naples provide a welcome contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city that's super-charged and always on the go! The city is surrounded by some lush, green areas and a beautiful coastline that's not always apparent from the centre.
One such area is the Parco Virgiliano which lies at the edge of the city centre in a quiet, residential area. It directly overlooks the sea where there are some interesting rock formations and small islets. North of the city centre is the Real Bosco di Capodimonte; the forest that surrounds the palace of the same name, while there are two more parks in the centre: Villa Floridiana and Villa Comunale. |
