Capri One Day Itinerary

The Capri One Day Itinerary is for those visitors to the island on a strict time-limit, with those constraints determined by the arrival and departure times of the ferries and hydrofoils.
Typically, the majority of visitors arrive mid-morning and leave around late afternoon so we've based our itineraries around that but of course there's no hard and fast rule for this. |

Option 1: Best of Capri Town and Anacapri Itinerary - Based on arrival at Marina Grande at 09:30 and departure around 17:30
Buy 3 bus and funicular tickets (the same tickets can be used for both) from ticket office in Marina Grande
Take funicular railway up to Capri Town
Walk to the Piazzetta and grab a coffee or snack while watching the world go by in the busy square
Walk to Augustus Gardens to enjoy the flowers and the incredible views of the Faraglioni rocks
Walk back to the Piazzetta and then on to the bus station to take the bus to Anacapri
From Piazza Vittoria bus stop in Anacapri walk over to Villa San Michele, admiring the views down to Marina Grande
Walk back to Piazza Vittoria and take the chairlift up to Mount Solaro
Grab lunch or a snack at the restaurant at the top of the mountain before taking the chairlift back down to Piazza Vittoria
Walk around Anacapri and stop at the Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo with its amazing majolica tiled floor
Take the bus directly back to Marina Grande and grab a cocktail while waiting for your boat back to your destination!
Option 2: Blue Grotto and Capri Town Itinerary - Based on arrival at Marina Grande at 09:30 and departure around 17:30
On arrival at Marina Grande take a boat tour of the island
Boat tours vary from an hour to an hour and 45 minutes including a stop at the Blue Grotto
Upon returning to Marina Grande buy two tickets from the ticket office for the Funicular Railway
Take the funicular railway up to Capri Town
Walk to the Piazzetta, have a coffee, lunch or do some shopping on Via Camerelle (window shopping is by far the cheaper option here!)
Visit Augustus Gardens for views of the Faraglioni and Marina Piccola
If you have time, visit the Certosa di San Giacomo
Back to the Piazzetta and then take the funicular down to Marina Grande
Make your way to a bar to rest your weary feet, cocktails optional!
