Sorrento to Capri Private Boat Tour
Our Sorrento to Capri private boat tour offers an unforgettable day on the water, where you can explore the stunning beauty of Capri, from the dramatic coastline to the iconic landmarks, in a completely private setting. Aboard a traditional southern Italian gozzo boat, you’ll be looked after by an English-speaking skipper throughout the 8-hour journey. This private experience ensures it’s just you, your friends, family, or partner, offering a relaxing, tailored journey along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world.
We provide complimentary drinks, including Prosecco, Limoncello, water, and soft drinks, along with snacks like potato chips to keep you refreshed throughout the day. Optional swimming stops are available if you’d like to take a dip in the Mediterranean's crystal-clear waters, but you are also welcome to simply enjoy the scenery from the boat. Our skipper will suggest excellent restaurants for lunch that are accessible from the water, or if you have a particular place in mind, we can try to accommodate it within the itinerary.

You can also visit the island’s upscale boutiques, explore the narrow winding streets, or take a scenic chairlift ride up to Monte Solaro for breathtaking views of the island and the surrounding coastline.
For larger groups, we can arrange two boats traveling together, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the stunning views and seamless experience. Estimated cruising times
Sorrento to Capri - 20 minutes without stopping
Full circuit of Capri - around 50 minutes without stopping
Capri to Sorrento - 20 minutes without stopping
Total cruising time (without stopping): around one hour 30 minutes
Remaining leisure time: around six hours 30 minutes
With an eight hour tour, you have around six and a half hours available for stops at the various places. You could do something like this for example:
Circuit of Capri - 1 hour 30 minutes (including stops at main sights apart from Blue Grotto)
Capri Blue Grotto - 1 hour (including potential waiting time)
Capri on land - four hours
Where above we've given estimated times 'without stopping', it's just to give you an idea of how long things would take if we didn't stop. For tours around Capri we generally travel at a slow cruising pace to ensure you see the highlights such as the various grottoes (other than the Blue Grotto), Punta Carena and the Faraglioni rocks for example.
The above times are estimates only and subject to tidal patterns and sea conditions on any given day. The most difficult time to estimate is that of the wait to visit the Blue Grotto which can be anything from 10 minutes to more than two hours, depending on the time of year and how busy that particular day is.
We don't fix the above times before the tour as different people like to spend different amount of time in some places instead of others. As it's a private tour, the skipper will be in constant dialogue with you, keeping you abreast of any time constraints on the day to help ensure you don't miss something you're planning to see.
