One of the major attractions of Naples, is one of the many that lie beneath the city's surface. Napoli Sotterranea which literally means Naples Underground, is an exploration of the fascinating network of tunnels and cisterns that play an important part in the city's infrastructure.

There are a number of tours on offer at the complex, the entrance of which is right next to the Basilica di San Paolo Maggiore on Via dei Tribiunali in Naples' centro storico.

By Metro, the closest stop is Dante which is 750 metres away and a walk of around ten minutes.
