Celebration in honour of Sant’Antuono, the Patron Saint of Sorrento, who died in this city on this date on 265 a.c.
Starting from the Basilica di Sant’Antuono, at 9:00, the procession carrying the statue of the Saint will go over the colourfully decorated streets.
The festivity summons people from Capri, Campagna and the whole peninsula that perenigrate to visit the remains of Sant’Antuono in the crypt of the Basilica, that will be hosting the devotees from 5:00 in the morning.

Event: Processione Bianca (Processione dell'Addolorata) / White Procession
As it has been done since the 14th century between Holy Thursday and Friday this big procession of white hooded devotees, chants and torches will follow and statue of the virgin (Madonna Addolorata) until the dawn. It is said to be one of the oldest processions in Italy.

To be held on Good Friday’s evening under the light of torches and lamps along the oldest street of Sorrento. The participants wear black hoods and carry the statue of the dead body of Christ in a this recreation of a funeral procession - Jesus funeral procession.
